Mahabharat is an ultimate mythological magnum opus ever written in Indian literature and it is a long-standing dream for any filmmaker to make a movie on this great tale. But having said that it is not easy for anyone to make a movie at such a large scale, without building lavish sets, casting biggies and going all out to create a spectacular experience for the viewers. While everyone from the showbiz industry starting from superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan to Baahubali director have expressed desire to give it their spin to Mahabharat but till now, all this was just hearesay. Now, an UAE-based businessman has invested Rs 1000 cr for a project on this epic tale and the makers have already locked in the great Malayalam actor Mohanlal to play Bheem.
He told media about this and confirmed his role in Randamoozham and said, “Like many of us, I grew up to the tales of the Mahabharata. I consider myself lucky to be named to be named to play Bheema who is the pivotal character in Randamoozham. I am thankful to everyone who believes in me.” The movie will release in 2020 and will come out in these languages, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Director Srikumar who will make this movie told a radio channel that he wants to lock in Aamir Khan or Mahesh Babu for the coveted role of Sri Krishna. He said, “The script will also have an explanatory note that gives a complete idea of each character. An international casting agency has been hired, and we are yet to finalise the cast, but definitely, some of the best teams in Indian cinema and a couple of surprise cast from Hollywood will also be part of the film. I need actors to be committed to this project for almost two years. As of now, Mammootty has not been approached for any character, though there are few roles that might fit him.”
Whoa, it would be totes amazing to see the handsome Hrithik in the garb of Sri Krishna.
