Box Office Report Card: Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar - who's the highest grossing actor of the first quarter?

Like we mentioned, the year has started off on a good note, with as many as 4 films running into the Rs 100 crore mark already. Unlike last year when there were as many as 203 out of 217 films bombing at the box office.

With the first quarter of the year already over, we list the names of actors whose films have grossed the highest numbers. Here's taking a look -

Shah Rukh Khan:

SRK might have clashed with Hrithik at the box office but when it comes to competition, he raced way ahead in terms of numbers. According to trade buzz, the film amassed a worldwide gross over Rs 260 crore and has catapulted SRK to enjoy the top position in the game. At least for now.

Varun Dhawan:

Surprise! Surprise! We have a new entry on the list. Varun Dhawan's Badrinath Ki Dulhania broke all the myths and easily zoomed past Akshay's Jolly LLB 2 at the domestic BO. Not just that, it has also become his first film to cross the worldwide gross figure of 200 crore and that's why he's on number 2 on our list..

Akshay Kumar:

Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 did a fantastic business of around Rs 110 crore itself at the domestic box office. But worldwide, the film has grossed around Rs 188 crore, a few crores less than Varun and Alia's Badri. That gets him the #3 spot on the list.

Hrithik Roshan:

Kaabil was a well acknowledged film but the clash had a deterring effect on the Hrithik Roshan starrer. The film collected a little less than Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office. And worldwide it grossed a little over Rs 160 crore, because the film didn't stand a chance overseas, especially with stiff competition from a Shah Rukh film. Hrithik still managed to get in the numbers and is #4 on our list.
